• Scam Alert. Members are reminded to NOT send money to buy anything. Don't buy things remote and have it shipped - go get it yourself, pay in person, and take your equipment with you. • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Shop Moving across BC with a lot of equipment

How about contacting a commercial transport company? Manitoulin moved both my knee mill and lathe from Ontario for reasonable rates. The down side is that you will have to put your equipment on pallets or crate it.

    Milling Vises

You are right, shipping could be quite expensive. If I were to purchase a heavy item like a vise, then I would have it shipped to the border and go pick it up.

    Rebuilt 25# Canadian Little Giant

Thanks! It's not a museum quality restoration, but it works well. How is the brake treating you? Make anything with it?

    Rebuilt 25# Canadian Little Giant

After more money and time than I care to think about this 25# Little Giant power hammer is back to work. The addition of the brake on the flywheel is a real perk as it gives the smith a lot more control of the ram and eliminates the infamous double tap these machines are known for.
