How to post a video so I can get other more important help

You should probably trace the lines with a multimeter and see what's getting voltage and what isn't. I'm not sure where you're located but I might be able to come give you a hand for an hour or two if it's not too far out of my way.

How to post a video so I can get other more important help

I'd still stick with going to a vfd and 3phase motor or a higher horsepower DC motor and drive. Yours is a 1.5hp and it would probably be a nice upgrade to goto 2.5hp or more. If you're ok with doing some work there are plenty of old used treadmills out there for salvage.

It should be, though I am not sure if it's only running 12v at its highest speed.. it should be fine though.

    Torrent T.72-42 16x40 lathe

I'm upgrading lathes and selling off my current one. I've listed it on kijiji asking 6,000 but its listed with some negotiation room. Its a great lathe, D1-6 camlock headstock, full gear head and quick change for threading metric or imperial, 5hp, DRO (slowly getting installed), I have a 5hp...

How to post a video so I can get other more important help

I'd guess that it's your speed control board or whatever it's called. If it's blowing the fuse it's likely bad and needs to be sent back and get a new one.. likely a manufacturing defect. I'd also guess that size of lathe really isn't meant to turn that size of stock with any aggression.. even...

The things people do to their machines that will make you cringe

I think it was up for 2500 or even 2000 on the previous ad, just about bought it for extra parts honestly. Since I am just going through the Colchester lathe I bought and finding out what the cost is to fix parts in it I would recommend that anyone buying one makes damn sure it functions...

The things people do to their machines that will make you cringe

Those 2 machines were on kijiji (and this guy bought them) a few weeks ago. I don't remember what they were going for initially but I don't think he jacked the price up too bad. Unfortunately that he's accidentally destroying them..

    Electrical wiring

Mmm.. I'm not dealing with a factory built stove though. Breakers failing over time is a small concern to something I wired while I was tired and not really paying attention deciding to burn down my empire of dirt.

    Electrical wiring

The general idea behind the breakers in your panel is they are gauged to the wire running into them. What you plug in becomes your problem, it's not accounted for in the electrical code as far as I know. Anything plugged in is supposed to be certified by a testing body to make sure it has its...
