    Really ?

This is fun! His comment quoted justadb who was talking about pedal bikes in that quote. It's important to follow the quotes. But I agree that the whole thread was all mixed up and lots of folks were mixing subjects. I even said as much. To be clear though, I agree with helmuts on...

I see. It wasn't obvious what you meant, but I see now and agree. Sometimes when I am checking my email, I am truly shocked at what these characters do to try and hook me. Some times very sophisticated - other times total idiots. And then I get this genuine email from my bank - who say they...

I see. But I don't follow what you mean. I can be pretty thick sometimes.

    Really ?

That is true of his comments earlier in the conversation. But my comment was in response to his comment here: It seems pretty clear that he meant pedal bikes there. If you follow the quotes backwards it will be more clear. I think that's the problem with big long threads where people jump...

Machine Rockwell Beaver 25-700 parts wanted!

I have great confidence in your ability to do it. There is a post that explains it on the members only forum. Should be easy to find. I'd post a link but that might make it possible for a non-member to see it.

Miata'a are not made for guys over 6ft. I can't even remotely get into one other than standing in a sun roof or a convertible.

    Drilling with the cross slide

I suppose that is possible. But I also think there is a bit of a knack to doing this. I have found that my half nut will do the same thing if I don't do my part. Basically, the half nut has some elasticity to its engagement and that allows it to engage on a tooth of the lead screw instead of in...

Machine Rockwell Beaver 25-700 parts wanted!

You have a really nice mill. Just buy the required gear cutter set on Ali Express and make your own gears. It's not that hard to do. What is that indicator? Are you perhaps referring to the thread dial? Again, easy to make your own gear for it. Most keyless chucks are on replaceable arbours...
