  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    Physical activities…..

When I retired from the auto industry, I bought a farm. It keeps me busy as a beaver. I walk my fields almost daily, pick rocks, pull weeds, man-handle machines, and manually machine stuff. Our farm is also nestled into some old growth Carolinian Forest, so walks in the woods is also a regular...

Shop What's Happening in Chazz's Shop?

That's, funny! I've heard people tell of similar advice from their doctors. Makes sense sometimes. Your situation - the guy is just stupid.... When I read your rotator "cuff", I thought you were just confused but decided to look it up. You are correct! It actually is "Rotator Cuff"...

Shop What's Happening in Chazz's Shop?

I had a similar experience about 30 years ago. Raising my arms shoulder height felt like someone plunged a dagger into my shoulder socket. An athletic surgeon recommended using surgical tubing for resistance exercises similar to what you describe. One week later my shoulder was fine. It still...
