Made in/shop in Canada options - Links or recommendations only!

I guess I'd assumed it had come up, but... Spaenaur! Hardware, based in Kitchener, Ontario. Will do split boxes, if you need 12 and the box is 50, and they're great on the phone. They'll send you a catalogue for free, last I checked. If you're a steady customer, they'll do samples, which helps...

Welcome to Westwood Metalworks, What is he building in there?

Yes, that's where I'm at with trying to get my lathe running. Should have started at the beginning. Or maybe just a general 'What Stuart did' thread? I certainly take photos at work and think 'I should post that, somebody might find it useful', and then... time passes.

    UPS gripe

Yep, I've had issues with them as well. Send it to work? They come by at 11 pm. 'Business closed'. Send it to home? They come by at 8 pm. 'Business closed'. The parking lot is full. Every window in the building has a light on. I had an Ebay purchase (PAPR blower and faceshield) come recently...

    UPS gripe

I refused a UPS shipment between Christmas and New Years. Ordered something from Italy. Item was $20.50, shipping 'Registered Mail' was $24.12. Got a UPS 'Payment Due at Delivery' notice, for $47.40. Package is still in Italy. Called, eventually got through to someone. Asked for a breakdown...

    Fabricated Fixture plate

Yep, I have two Oilite for that, ordered from McMaster Carr oh… 5+ years ago. I should have another look at the drawings for that, it was mostly a lack of larger stock slowing me down.
