Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I found the best way to clean battery corrosion is by brushing vinegar in the battery compartment and then coating the contacts with dialectic grease. I've saved a few electronic components this way.

    Tool post holder for sale

    Available for sale is a tool post holder. It's 4 1/4" high, with a 2 1/4 X 3/4" opening and the base is 1 3/4: square. I'm open to an offer on this part as I have no idea of it's value. This can be shipped by Canada Post for the actual cost of postage.

    The gauge used in the video is an Ames gauge and if you look closely at the handle, it's designed to be used as a setting fixture. There's a number of shims in the handle to obtain a variety of dimensions.
