  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I went to Sowa tools for what I needed. They have cheap-er and then expensive lines. But they don't try to upsell, they try to sell according to your needs

    Agreed, I picked up some folding legs to build a small table last year, from CDN tire, I want to say they were $40+tax.... so I think $75 was a bargain. Maybe not a start the car bargain but it was a 10 minutes away, on my way home bargain

    I like having one angle grinder with the roloc disc and one with a zip disc. If you watch your fingers you can run a 4" zip disc

    See that's where I'm kicking myself, 3-5 years ago I bought a stubby 1/2" air impact. It's sweet for tight spots. Around the same time I replaced a few die grinders, also air. One was a mini die grinder, also great for small spots But, pneumatic To go back in time...
