Is this what you meant Trev? Hardly a chart, but not hard to try to get close.

    Buying from McMaster Carr

Ya, they only sell to businesses. I provided them with my HST number and they were happy with that. Just find a friend with a business to order for you. Yes, they are expensive. But they are also AMAZING! Next day delivery all the way from the USA all day every day. Don't let the current...

Dan Gelbart posts unusual shop tricks

I was only suggesting a set point of 40% to keep it running full time to draw down the space humidity and dry out the concrete over the course of a week or two. 55 or even 65% is just fine for an actual stead state humidity level. The lower the better of course, but sometimes you have to take...

Sounds like rust and you are BFF's. I'd be trying a big Dehumidifier if I were you. Just run the drain into your sump pump hole. https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/noma-50-pint-dehumidifier-white-0438849p.html I'd set it for 40% and just let it run for a few weeks. Unless your water table is...

New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

I didn't see any strokes per minute in my manual or the others posted here. For the time being, I mounted a 2 inch - which just happens to be what @Bandit is using. I always have delusions of grandeur! So, don't be raining on my parade you! But seriously, what are you cautioning me about? I...

Thank you for that. I skimmed this thread and @TonyK's thread and didn't see it, hence the question. Did your motor pulley come with the shaper? I think @trevj has the right of it. The internal arm that drives the Ram from the bull gear eccentric should push the Ram forward when the eccentric...

Announcing the 2025 Ontario Meetup April 26 in Aylmer

Adding you to the PM for details. Parking is zero problem. Getting to the parking may not be doable. Gotta drive through a ravine to get to the shop. I can't remember it well enough to give advice. I suggest parking on the road out front and walking in. It's not nearly as far as my laneway...

New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

I found another free motor today. This one is a blower motor. It uses a start winding and a centrifugal switch and has no capacitors. I'm hoping it has enough oomph to get going against the shaper inertia. We will see. A few questions. The motor direction is not spelled out in the manual. I...

Cincinnati tool and cutter grinder #2- $900 - Orono, On

I gave it a damn good look too. But for me it's a 10 hour drive round trip and with the trailer to drag me down, prolly another 400 in fuel. I'll be thrilled to know that you got it. But I'll wait till it's on route to your shop before I actually say YOU SUCK out loud.....

Tool Alligator clips for Fluke 77iii

I have a similar Fluke. I don't think they are very accurate though. I prefer a very low resistance shunt and a damm good voltmeter.
