  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I see advantages to both new and used. The problem I have with used is that I don't know what I'm looking at, or even what I really want. Kijiji seems to have machines that are quite small (lacking some features that I want), or quite large machines that I don't have room for, nor the 600 volt...

    Ahahaha! Not much right now. My shop is 18 1/2'x29', but it's got 3 motorcycles and a bunch of other stuff in it. I will have to get rid of a couple of bikes and get rid of some other stuff to make room.

    Hello to everyone. I've worked as an industrial mechanic/millwright for the last 34 years. While I'm certainly no expert, I've always enjoyed using lathes and a mills at work to do my own little home projects. As I'm approaching retirement, (and will be losing any access to a machine shop)...
