    Ammco 6" Metal shaper

@TonyK Looks like your machine is coming along nicely! You must be anxious to make some chips! I am still very much learning but enjoying it. I also have an 1140 RPM motor on my dill press. It was an option on the Rockwell’s with the viable speed drive pulleys. I just picked up a two speed...

    Ammco 6" Metal shaper

@TonyK , The motor mine came with was an 1725rpm 1/2hp, I was lucky to find a good Leeson 1140 3/4hp which was closer to the factory motor, you can only go so small on the motor pulley and you can change the other part of the workings of the shaper. Hi @TonyK Looks like you are making good progress. What are you going to do in the way of tooling and a vice? Hopefully your machine came with something. It took me a long time to find a holder and a slow speed motor. Here is a couple pictures of my 10” Alba part with through restoration.

Machine Not sure I need a drill press anymore

I made this cabinet years ago for my upright gear head drillpress. Casters are fixed so it can be pulled out for cleaning and fits over the base. I made it in the style of my oak machinist chests. Definitely been useful,

3”Dia. Rotary Table, $100, Burlington, ON

I agree, I have a 12” and it doesn’t go 90 degrees, I am not sure how useful that feature is, I just use a dividing head or spin indexer or switch to the horizontal mill sometimes.
