    Tool Weighing and accuracy

Sorry for being part pf the BIG swing off topic Janger. My thoughts on the torque driver : I think paying more to ensure repeatable accuracy and ease of getting the tool calibrated would be well worth it in the long run. I have a Wheeler Fat wrench that I'm happy with for mounting scopes...

    Tool Weighing and accuracy

Morning all, I wonder if an accurate voltage stabilizer would help to keep a digital powder scale (or any electronic scale) more consistent. Many years ago I tried reloading when I was away working to pass any extra time. It ended up being too frustrating. I couldn't use a digital scale as...

    CNC kit for bench mill.

I was thinking late last night, and I didn't think about writing all the G code?? Needed. I think that would slow me way down. Powerfeeds with manual control over them is a better option. Guess I was kinda thinking out loud so to speak when I wrote this. Ken

You guys aren't kidding when you said good ones are pricey. I've found a number of vises over $1000. At the other end of the scale, I bought one like this a number of years ago. I took it apart and smoothed and lubed contact points and it's been excellent for little jobs. Came across a picture...

    CNC kit for bench mill.

So over the summer I've been pondering the setup for my machines once I finally get it up and running, and I think CNC will be best. I have problems with my hands that cause trembling and jerky movements at times. I've been turning the hand wheels and I'm just not going to be smooth enough...

    8x16 Metal Lathe Buyers Guide

Excellent write up. I actually purchased the Numobam 850w lathe and their vm18-l milling machine. To be honest I haven't been able to use them yet due to outside issues. They both seem very well built and I have little doubt that will serve me well. If it's the same as you purchased, hopefully...

    Quality swivel bench vise?

Thanks for the direction guys. I didn't realize that many come with the pipe and second flat jaws. That'd be perfect actually. I'll start searching. Ken

    Quality swivel bench vise?

One set of jaws was bigger than the other, it was handy for working on smaller parts of different sizes. And I was planning to put soft jaws on the small side, having either at a quick twist. Ken
