    I have one......Bridgeport. Uses R8 collets. Willing to part with it if adequately encouraged. In Sherwood Park, by Edmonton. It is quite heavy, shipping may be costly.

    Collet questions

    Is your new mill a Bridgeport copy? If so, it should have a spindle lock lever. I just hold the lever snug while I tighten or loosen the collet on my First mill.

    Speaking of the "tapping" drill, I have one made by Fein. Taps when pushing in and reverses when drawing back. Will accept any reasonable offer or trade fodder of interest.

I have not used plastic steel when balancing and am a little concerned that it may have less tendency to flow into the porosity...

    I have a UPA-2 as well. Last time I used it was to finish bore a tone hole on a silver antique flute that I am restoring. Faced the top as well to match adjacent holes. They are beautifully made tools. Mine has a R8 adapter over the MT2 shank.
