Modified steady rest - lumby BC

Do show us what you’re building. Even presuming the one @justin1 has works out fine for me, what you’re building may inspire some thoughts for a traveling steady too. D

Thanks for the interest & offer for help! Quaint description of Lumby, sounds like a great place to have home base! I’m not in a panic to ship so I’m fine with CP presuming they don’t fold but as I discussed with @justin1 if something comparable/not too outrageous popped up in the meantime...

Label maker - do you have a recommendation?

Well, this thread has led me to a relevation! My Casio “Label It” can print on shrink tube!**. Wooo-hoo! **Have a look at the fine print on your shrink label. The Casio tape is said to be print on shrink sleeve but they say it does NOT have the insulation properties (voltage breakdown...

Label maker - do you have a recommendation?

That looks like something you’d see on a retail store shelf…..might be something out there that can be had through those supplier channels. It might well be higher...

Modified steady rest - lumby BC

Super! I’ll catch up with you on PMs tomorrow WRT details about getting it here. I would imagine any mods would be less involved than making one from scratch which was what I was contemplating. Thanks for offering it up to the group, can’t say enough about the good people here! D

If @quitereal doesn’t grab it I’d like to give it a new home. I think it’d look right at home on my Standard Modern. No need for the extra steel either. ;) Crazy, that looks like a PA price tag on it! D
