    DavidR8's shop shenanigans

My shop was like that for years and then a greenhouse that the "Boss" worked at shut the doors and i was given the opportunity to salvage a trailer load of the warehouse racks on wheels (slightly damaged that wouldn't be saleable )that they used to move product around . Very heavily built with...

Tips/Techniques 3 pin check for holes larger than gage pin

One thing to be aware of when using sulfur for a chamber casting...the fumes that come off that stuff can be very nxious when being heated, always do it outside with a breeze blowing and stay upwind. Sulfur can have enough H2S residue in it to knock you down. and it dont take much of that stuff...

    Standard Modern Series 2000

Doctors use stethoscopes to pinpoint strange noises all the time & I have used one on a few occasions to pinpoint con rod taps or injector hammering to tell which cylinder is making the noise...one could be very advantageous to you I think. I think Snap-on or some other tool maker even makes a...

Tips/Techniques Workshop Organization- things that have made a difference for you

Ive seen several fellows suffer the indignity of an electric fence ( getting the local town know-it-all piss unkowingly on the wire was a good one) but the best ambush wiring I ever seen happened in front of our local small town show hall. A local mechanics son discovered another town boy...
