This is the shaper I got off kijiji a few months ago. It has sat since it landed in my garage as I wanted to finish my bicycle frame before starting on this shaper clean up. Note the top-slide assembly and clapper are not installed in this photo. I wanted to completely disassemble it to give...

    Playing around with Fusion 360

Yeah Fusion requires a bit of foresight to make assemblies manageable unfortunately. One tip for top-down modelling assemblies is instead of creating new parts in the main assembly file, create and save a new part in it's own file instead, and then drag it into the assembly (even if the part...

I have used anisotropic conductive film and tape at work, but only for electrical signals, I don't think it could handle more than a few milli-amps. We purchase 3M branded stuff from digi-key, maybe they have another product that could work for you?

    Xyphota's bicycle related projects

Thank you! There are a couple factors, but for me I wanted to try brazing and I like the look of brazed dropouts so that was it really for me haha. Brazing also lets you use thinner walled tubes, so my chain & seatstay tubes are only ~0.024" [0.6mm] wall thickness at the dropout end, and its...

I may have discovered why the lathe had a plastic gear. This thing is LOUD as hell with the new steel gear if I run it over 1000 rpm LOL
