    Vise for Grizzly G0704

Where did you buy your ER32 collet set from? How about the tool holder for the ER32 collet? Any particular brands for the collets and tool holders?

    Vise for Grizzly G0704

Thanks everyone! I will definitely look into all the recommendations. Also, I am looking for recommendations other necessary milling tools specifically: Collets and tool holders (I have seen some for sale on the Tormach website, are there any other good source people recommend?) Haimer...

    Vise for Grizzly G0704

$42 seems too low for shipping a vise cross borders, especially via FedEx. If I can get it shipped to my door for $42 to Vancouver, it's better than driving cross borders.

    Vise for Grizzly G0704

Thanks for the tip. For a 4" Glacern, I will have to wait a while until the border opens up before I can pick one up over the border.

    Vise for Grizzly G0704

I'm looking to buy a vise for my grizzly G0704. KBC tools has Kurt DX4 and DX6. I don't know why the DX6 is cheaper than the DX4 when it's a larger vise, but I assume that I should go for the bigger vise just in case I upgrade to a bigger machine in the future. Will the DX6 fit on my G0704? Is...

    Milling Vise Recommendation

Shars, I looked at that brand as well, but I can't seem to find them locally here.

    Milling Vise Recommendation

That's the KBC in house branded one I was referring to, but I have not found any reviews to confirm if it is any good. So I am hesitant to buy it even though it is relatively inexpensive.

    Milling Vise Recommendation

I'm looking to buy a vise for my grizzly G0704. I've narrowed it down to a 4" Glacern or KBC tool's own branded 4" precision milling vise. KMC also has Magnum 4x4" vise but I don't know too much about those. I've read lots of good reviews for the Glacern but it is a bit pricey and I would have...

    Need opinions on new lathe

I was quoted $15,000 from Modern for a 14x40 CNC kit. I think the CNC controller is extra. That is a bit too much for me. I don't think I will get a 14x40. I am leaning towards the smaller 10x22. My local KMS has a 10x22 from King Industrial. I think I will get that to begin with. Probably a...

I have contacted Dal at Modern, he says he will check with the factory and contact me in a day or two.

    Need opinions on new lathe

Thanks Tom. At this point, I don't think buying the 14x40 manual/cnc lathe from cncmasters over across the border is realistic for me. I've added all the costs so far (base price, crating, freight from CA to BC, exchange rate) and I have not factored in brokerage fees and tax yet, is about...

    Hi From Vancouver BC

Is that $500 for all mini lathe? I have only been able to find kits for medium sized lathes 14x40 and up for around $4000 range. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

    Hi From Vancouver BC

Would you think it would be better if I tried to do my own lathe conversion. On second thought, it might just be better to buy one already assembled.

    Hi From Vancouver BC

I've sent them an email inquiring about shipping brokerage, duty/tax and any other fees. I've noticed that too, the base lathe is pretty much the same as many other brands. It's just the option to operate both manual and CNC is what I am after. I'm hoping to see if I can find another similar...
