Ya Canadian model engineering just ships directly from the manufacturer, so you have to pay all the shipping, duty and exchange. I'd like to design my own, the trouble is finding a foundry that does cast iron.

I checked out PM Research in the states, but the shipping is just as much as the casting kits! It's outrageous! Any help would be appreciated. :)

I'm an electrician by day and a hobby machinist by night. Breakers are sized to protect the size of conductor they are feeding. In this case, you're welder is most likely on a 40A breaker connected to #8AWG.
The only thing that could happen if you use that circuit for your grinder...
Is the .dxf file a cad file? I m drafting up some scale locomotive frames and want them cut. Do you recall what size holes they can cut?
