Does anyone know of any welding teachers in Burlington or Halton area?

Let me know if you get stuck, I am happy to show you what I know. I took one welding course 25 years ago at Sheridan and just practiced after that.

Does anyone know of any welding teachers in Burlington or Halton area?

@J.mac I have never bothered with a welding table. I just weld on cheap particle board, and let it burn with wet rags handy to put out the flames. More essential is welding blankets to cover anything important and a fire extinguisher. Let me know if you need help.

@J.mac That’s not too bad to learn on, you have some control there. Buy a good flexcore wire like Lincoln. Do you have a good helmet? You can see better to learn. I was showing a friend how weld Mig, it wasn’t too hard to get him going. Thicker metal is easier too, can grind out your weld and redo.

Gray machine paint - recommendations please

Just what ever you do don’t use Crappy Tire rust enamel. It is absolutely trash, I suspected they reformulated it in the last ten years. I have used Sherwin Williams enamel on a few a my machines with good results.

Tips/Techniques Wall covering in garage shop.

I did the OSB thing because of cost, but by the time you get a finish paint surface I might as well have used something else, sucks in the paint.

    Worth picking up a mill/drill?

I am making slow progress being summer time. I managed to get over to Beach Rd steel and picked up some cheap 20 guage sheet. I want to make side panels for the stand and make a chip tray. I cut to size on my foot shear and used a zip blade to cut the corners. This hand bender worked well to...

    2002 VW Golf refurb

The “Hot Hatch” I love the VW commercial from years ago where the young man buys the old lady’s car thinking it was gently used, cuts to the lady rallying the car. That’s my mom, a driving standard turbo VW golf at 86 years of age.

    R8 Milling Spindle

I bought this R8 milling spindle at Busy Bee intending to make a milling head one day. Not going to happen. It’s new and still has the protective coating on it. The spindle body diameter is 70mm and length 121mm of the body. Let me know if you need any measurements. I will ship on your dime...

    WTB Felt

Try and get real felt, not synthetic felt. Last felt I bought at Lee Valley for way wippers.

WTB: Milling machine X table wheel

I am facing the same problem x3. The original plastic handles on my mill/drill aren’t up to much. I was thinking of buying the Aliexpress ones and milling the 3 recessed areas. Standard Bridgeport clone are different handles with more recessed areas.
