I'm thinking that the brass one is a vintage mister / atomizer though, as opposed to something designed for oiling.
Lee Valley still sells a very similar unit...
This good sized shaper by an unrecognized manufacturer was just posted up on FB.
You can see it looks pretty complete with drive unit complete and comprising a small footprint, and thus seems like an easy refurb project to get it up and running again. That, and the fact that it is described...
Whereabouts in this grand vast land of ours are you located ? If you are in SW Ontario then just bide your time and one will swim along soon. Even better if you are capable of heading over the border at Buffalo or Detroit to poach one and bring it home.
The small shapers cost more...
A very versatile machine. I have one that is in line for a proper restore and came well-tooled.

Scotch is just OK to me...it's my wife's choice of whisky, but I always preferred dark rums after getting exposed to those on trips to the Caribbean. Of the Scotch I've had, I like the nicer Abelour the best of all. The rest I generally find harsh or crazy peaty. Bourbon is now my new fave...
OK, you've raised a trout here . I've become a convert over to bourbon lately.
Not intending to hi-jack your thread or anything, but what's your tipple of choice if you don't me asking ? I'm still trying to figure it out. In fact I am still data-testing right now as I type this !
Here's a...
We all have our own "bedside manner" right ?
It is worth noting the criticism though and looking inward at the chances we each have in our own little "less important worlds" to perhaps take the time to recognize that basic civility and basic exhibiting of compassion and respect for someone...
...and when you get that shaper completed Kevin you can "cut your teeth" on it too !
Here's a handy link to doing that...

This machine is now provisionally sold to the buyer from Manitoba at full asking price. A decent hold deposit has been paid, with pick-up to be mutually arranged before the end of May.
Although I do not expect this to fall through, I am accumulating interested parties so as to be able to...
