  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

    WTS Clemco Blast Cabinet

I'll take it, but cannot pick up until the middle of May, due to me moving. Let me know if that works.

Looking for a set of change gears for a King 1022 lathe

I have some change gears to something. Came with my Mill, the guy was selling a small lathe at the same time and they made their way home with me hidden in a box. Don't need them, but not sure they would work for you. Can't tell you much more. Unfortunately they are in long term storage for...

    Self-Clearing Customs

Not a lot of first hand experience. But the first thing to determine is it worth your time and gas money. You'll need to visit a CBSA office in person. Plus you will need to go to the UPS/Fedex depot usually in person. Unless you live in close proximity to both of those. Might not be worth the...

    Logan lathe in pieces CA$500

I'm not sure, i haven't had a chance to really examine the gear box. The name plate is detached, which is stamped for an 820. Could be just replacement nameplate for a missing 1825 just to have the threading chart or a whole different gear box.

    Logan lathe in pieces CA$500

It's a 1825, nearly missed out on it. But now I have more lathes than shops, But it will go into storage until I'm setup in my new place. seem mostly complete, bed ways are expected for a 60 y/o machine. Seller was exceptional, came from a craft brewery. Prior to that a shop in Edmonton...

    Car Rust

You are behind the 8 Ball on this one. It will only continue to get worse. Fluid film may have helped pre rust, with regular car washes making sure you get into the nooks and crannies. But if you really want to stop in from getting worse you need to grind away all the rust and post treat with...

    Tool Lathe files

The details say they are in a pack of three. So per unit isn't bad. If they are a 3 pack that is.

    Tool spotting blue for scraping?

I watched a video of Watch Wes Work. He scrapped a large angle plate. He used cement tinting pigments (black and orange) I couldn't find any of the regular suggested contrasts. So local to Edmonton I found some pigments (black and orange) at a cement supply shop. I gave them a go, worked...

Milling Machine in Sicamous BC - $2000

Looks like it's wired at 110v so motor is likely less than 1.5hp. Probably 1.0 Also a straight shank tool on the shelf. So maybe r8

Cool Tools in your home shop that you'd not likely not see in someone else's?

Father in law had a lot of large sockets. Unfortunately they were stored in the garage at his house. After he died some arsonists set the garage a light. Fortunately I had a good majority moved to my place. That wrench is no joke. If I wanted to, it could become gym equipment. I completely...
