The West Hills development area to the south of us has that type of Community Energy Service - https://ssl-bc.com/energy-service-2/ In addition to geothermal, they also harvest heat from the local ice rink facility.

increased EV adoption will help trigger TOU rates One of our vehicles is an older Nissan Leaf. In one of the Leaf forums a guy from England reports that due to difference in TOU rates he's able to charge his Leaf off-hours, drive as needed, and then tap his battery to sell back to the grid...

    Busy Bee CX709 chuck help

Looking at the poor diagram in the manual, and reading your description, it sounds like the chucks do not have backing plates; instead they're attached by screws directly to a flange on the spindle with 3 (for 3J) or 4 (for 4J) screws. (total of 7 chuck mounting holes in the spindle flange) I...

    Busy Bee CX709 chuck help

from the manual I would consider: a) 3 new holes in the flange to align with 4J chuck, or b) 3 new, tapped holes in the 4J chuck to align with the flange, or c) contacting BB to see if this is a known problem and they'll help with a replacement 4J chuck that fits properly good luck

    ? for the woodworkers here

The only time a table saw has spilled my blood was due to a worn push stick. I was ripping fairly small stock, using a push stick along the fence in my right hand, and my left hand was acting as a feather board keeping the stock tight and square to the fence. The worn push stick slipped off...

cutting internal threads to a shoulder

It looks like there is a component attached to the toolpost that allows the tool holder to slide, and it sounds like a spring retains the sliding tool holder in place until the tether stops it, while the carriage continues under feed. The angle of the slider also pulls the tool holder away from...

cutting internal threads to a shoulder

cool idea - so, no latch to keep the threading tool components engaged with the carriage assembly, just a spring? Would luv to see more details.

cutting internal threads to a shoulder

Yes, first post includes a copy 'n paste from the manual. Not if installed correctly. The thread on chuck bottoms out on the spindle shoulder. The lock should just act as a retainer making it very hard to thread the chuck off. With sufficient effort, a guerilla could apply enough torque to...
