@jstem4 - my one Utilathe has shims on the outer V to move the headstock and it corrected the lathe - great work!!

@skippyelwell - I have that tap on hand as I had to make that part a few years ago. Just saying….

@jstem4 - above is a simple scetch of the utilathe. You can adjust the gibs to tighten up your clearance. I stoned my ways to remove any burs and then adjusted the (3) gib plate to take out most of the play. It takes some time but well worth it.

My thoughts: Measure OD of the thread, measure the TPI or check the pitch for metric. If things are “weird” then is the thread tapered? Straight? Application?? Is it hydraulic, gas, where is the contraption made? The threads can get crazy - British Straight pipe, G1, G2 etc. typically...

@Susquatch - no time for watching, no TV in the shop! Just building things and having fun. My old shop (the one you visited) originally had a keg fridge in it…..LOL…. Not the best for accomplishing anything safely. Dispensed with that idea and have a separate bar .

Yep, looks like a 13/20 and all the handle balls are in place. The dial indicator for the carriage is a sign of someone reasonably using it. Awesome deal if it comes all tooled (as pictured).

Holy crap!!! I could use for putting beer in!!! Dang!!! They are easy to adapt to a home keg fridge and hold 50 litres WOW. STAINLESS as well.

Check the bottle, it will say who it is from. I have a bottle from TSC and it is from Praxair - I will take it there when it is empty

Are you making this out of solid wood? Drawer bottoms of metal? Etc etc
