  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Not the best on the market. But for home hobby it's perfect. Accusize has a Amazon store page. Prices can be high onnsome things and reasonable on others. Busy bee and KMS are good for generic cutters.

    Side question for the feed engagement. Has anyone changed the finger death trap knob to "float" and not turn with the rod? I imagine a cam leaver of some style?

    Haha ya a spare mill? Won't say no Thank you. It took a few failed attempts and a lot of learning. But I have a face plate that was very useful combined with creative fixtureing. And had to feed manually.

    Moving lathe pull it completely apart?

    Hey I have the same lathe. I moved it and did take the head stock off. I cleaned super well (no abrasives) with degreasers and rags. Now I question the alignment of the headstock. Any suggestions to check/ realign?
