Hi Matthew, Brent H said you may still have the original older double slide gear for 10" Utilathe, the one he made a new one for you. Just wondering if I could buy it from you?

Been looking for something like this. I'm an old geezer (93), retired electrical engineer worked mostly in control systems design. Got my first machine, an Atlas 618 lathe (Craftsman) way back in 1965 or so (can't remember exactly), and a few years ago a hybrid mill-lathe. Current project is trying to get set up after a major move ( sold the house, moved in with daughter and husband)..

Saw on one of the threads that you have a Tapmatic head you might want to part with.
Have been wanting to try a tapping head for small taps on the model engines I'm building. What would you be asking for yours.

I acquired a bench top milling machine built by B. C. Ames in Waltham Massacheusetts. Unfortunately there is no model or serial numbers. I believe it is a frankenmill converted from horizontal and fitted with a vertical spindle.

I have decided to remove the shaft and inspect, and would like your input on the steps. May I send you an email with more information, as here I am limited to 420 characters?
