WTB: 5HP 3PH motor 600-1200 RPM

I have a 30" bandsaw/resaw that needs power. I've taken advice recommending a 5 horse motor for it, running at low speed. The saw is flat-belt driven, and good power transmission really wants a fairly large pulley at the motor, hence the low speed.
Anyone on Vancouver Island have anything? Lower mainland works too, though if I go any further I'll have to consider freight costs.
Edit: To make this harder, I need to run it off a VFD, so I'm looking for 208/240V.
Thanks,
Paul

6 pole motors, especially small sizes are few and far between (an 8, 10, 12 pole would be quite scarce). Perhaps a scrapped machine. The larger disc sanders (20”) are often directly on the motor shaft and use a 6 pole motor. Lathes with multi-speed motors were not uncommon - generally not stretching out as far as you are looking for. For examples: the older Smart and Brown 1024 uses a 3 speed motor having separate windings 2, 4 & 6 pole the top speed being 3HP it is physically a pretty large heavy motor (bigger than a 5hp 4 pole). Another example is the consequent pole motor (I think that is what it is called - ?) used on the MK Enterprise lathe being a 4 pole or 8 pole with only one set of windings that is connected differently for each pole arrangement - again a bigger heavier motor than a conventional design.

4 pole motors are very available. Is there room for a jack shaft to drop the speed - then you can get most any target base speed you want - still at full power (increased torque, motor cooling fan still at full speed)?

There is, though it's one more level of complication. I was thinking of doing v-belts from the motor to the jack shaft, and flat after that. But I'd rather avoid it if I can. One advantage of the belts is that the hazard is lower for dogs' tails. Putting a 4' long cage being the machine isn't a particularly pleasant thought.

Hi I have a 5hp Baldor single phase motor. Will have to check but I recall it is 1725 rpm.
Would that work for your purpose?
Single phase motors 600-900 rpm range are very uncommon.

Could run it slow with a "small" pulley. DM incoming.

I missed this post when it first came up. I may actually have one of these. I don't anticipate a use for it, although I could use a smaller one. . Let me check the specs and get back to you.

@PaulL You're in luck? TEFC, shaft appears to be 1-1/8" diameter, 1/4 in keyway, about 2-1/2" long.
I have not tested this - I don't have a VFD or any other way to do that. When I got it long ago was told it worked. If you or someone else nearby can confirm that it will work for you, I don't need it. I'd be delighted to trade for something that I could actually use, like maybe a 2 HP or so 3 phase that I could use with the VFD that I don't have yet. I am coming into Victoria on Tuesday. I also have a couple of 5HP single phase but as described in Post #2 This Thread

That looks totally usable! And I'll be in Victoria on Tuesday. And I might even have a 2HP 3PH motor here in my stable, though that means changing the motor on my compressor again. If I can get that done today I'll bring the 2HP one to town and we can figure out how to trade them. DM incoming with further contact information.
