  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Calgary Area Meetup is set for Saturday July 12th at 10am. The signup thread is here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Came out of a government facility so probably taken care of. I saved it from the scrap at a cost to me of about $700. not including a couple of days time. I'll be happy to see it go to a good home for $1000. The optical viewer is there, but not assembled to the unit. The adjustments all work as smoothly as you'd expect on a machine that cost as much as a small house when new. It's a heavy unit, but movable on a low bed Uhaul trailer. Rolls on two bar axles put through the holes in the bed on which are mounted 12" solid tire cast iron wheels with roller bearings. I'd prefer to keep the wheels but money would talk. Located near Victoria BC.
