I got an alert this morning down in Surfside Beach South Carolina very early this morning that the smoke from the wildfires were sweeping down. Got some great pics of it at sunrise this morning ! Pretty cool looking sky . Pics are on my phone so I'll have to learn how to post them .

Northern Manitoba and Saskatchewan mostly right now.
Firesmoke.ca is the forecasting service for smoke dispersal forecasts.
Google maps has an air quality index layer as well. I'm southeast of Regina and my air quality index has been 10 for a couple of days now. And 10 is not good.

Northern British Columbia too. Mostly fires that stayed lit through the winter, I think.

Here in British Columbia we have https://wildfiresituation.nrs.gov.bc.ca/map I am reasonable sure each of the Provincial Governments keeps a similar page, though I have not been interested in devoting my life to following ALL of them. Probably a search of the term Fire Map xxx (fill in the province name), will get you what you seek.

IMO, the NASA one probably covers the most ground, if you are looking for big picture, rather than more local info.

Does the NASA map show smoke coverage or air quality? I can't find it.
Unless you are in immediate danger from a fire, I find the firesmoke map to be the most useful.
We had a window of about 2 hours this morning with no smoke. Perfect time to air out the house and cut the grass, then it closed in again.

I saw on my phone that they are asking for help from the USA has anyone heard if they are coming again this year.
(Washington, D.C., May 31, 2025) – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke L. Rollins today announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service is deploying resources to assist the wildfire response currently impacting Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and Alberta, Canada. The Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Center raised the wildfire preparedness level to 5 on May 29, 2025, as the country is experiencing very high to extreme wildfire activity. USDA deployed an airtanker to Alberta, on May 31st, and the United States is mobilizing over 150 firefighters and support personnel to assist with the Canadian wildfire response. The United States is also mobilizing other equipment including sprinkler kits, pumps, and hoses.

“We are here to help our neighbors during their time of need, and our Forest Service Wildland Firefighters are the best in the business. I am thankful for the men and women who are bravely stepping up to serve. We pray for their success as they fight fires and save lives,” said Secretary Rollins.

The current fire activity in the United States remains normal. USDA will retain readiness and if we anticipate any operational needs, we reserve the right to recall our resources. USDA Forest Service operational readiness will never be diminished.
