  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Whatcha got for punch and chisel storage?

You guys are ALL a really bad influence. Other than the pin drifts I showed earlier, this is my drawer. No I didn't tidy up. That's the way it always looks unless one is in use someplace.

Judging from your photos, it's quite obvious to me that I don't have enough chisels and punches.

I do have 20 or so different sizes of sledges and hammers though. I just need more things to pound on with them.

And no @Dan Dubeau - a hammer is not my only tool.... o_O
 
I have a dedicated drawer in the main tool box that houses punches and chisels as well as a couple brass drifts and scrapers. The Starrett pin punches and center punches live in a smaller tool box at the small lathe. I also have a few "road" boxes that travel in the dump truck and pickup that each have a small assortment of punches and chisels.
@Susquatch ..... You might be able to find your way around my shop..... Looks like we chose the same drawer for storage, although mine are a little more tossed in and jiggled until the drawer closes...
