What Engine Were These For?

I used to work for BC Hydro as a mechanic. The shop to mine was once an engine, generator and transformer maintenance shop. They were doing a clean out and a lot of obsolete stuff was going for scrap metal. I rescued these two bushing pushers from the scrap bin. Searching the internet I can't figure what Fairbanks Morse engine they would have been used on.

Where I live had diesel generated electricity probably until the late 1950's when a transmission line was put in connecting to the Alcan line in Kitimat.
The engines that supplied the power to Terrace prior to Alcan were a pair of Copper Bessemer engines. The towns in the surrounding area would have all had their own generating facilities.

Maybe a 38D 8-1/8 diesel generator. Just a WAG. We had one on the submarine I was on. I understand they were used on locomotives a bit also.
