I bought a 5'x8' utility trailer in the summer but it only came with a folding ramp, no tailgate. Problem solved, I built one.
The frame is 1/8 x 1 1/4 HSS and the sheeting is 14 gauge.
Clamped up on the new to me welding table. The weld is with the Lincoln wire that I got from Home Depot.
Test fit and primed prior to sheeting.
Sheeted and painted ready for the road. Took longer for the paint to dry than to built the part. lol
