  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Seller got back to me. The colchester is gone. They want 3500 for teh Summit and 3000 for the sajo. Says he's 'open to offers'

Seller says he got $2600 for the Colchester Student. Seems less sketchy than most kijiji conversations for what its worth.

I wonder if he'd be interested in selling the shaper vice separately from the Sajo..... looks like the right size for my little shaper...
 
How can you tell it's a shaper vise?
The square base with 4 bolt holes, and overall shape makes me pretty certain that it is.... Most mill vices I have seen have one bolt on each side and are somewhat elongated in the bolt pattern..
Having said that, I have been wrong more than once.....

Interesting observation..... My Peerless Shaper vise has a square base with 4 hold down bolt holes? It has a swivel base that will swing 90 deg. The vise in the Ad doesn't appear to be on a swivel base.... or maybe it is?
