The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Looks like it needs a good clean up but has chucks and steady rests.

When I inquired I told him he should ask $1000 he never replied back, and then we had a real good conversation in my head about buying it and fixing it up and reselling it but in the end I want to continue to improve my skills on the lathe and as fun as that would have been it would cut into that time so I breathed a sigh of relief when I see now its SOLD

Yea good eye I didn't notice that its very similar to the one I used at work gulp 30 years ago I was a lot more rammy back then I would hate to remember the the abuse I did to that poor lathe.

looks like he changed to v belts.
I have a SB parts manual that shows the machine available in flat belt and v belt configuration so it looks like you had a choice when buying new.
Didn't expect it to last long at that price.

Interesting does it show for what years It was available?

The one manual I have is a US Army Tech manual dated Dec 1980 and the other I think is 50's or 60's,,,,,, ish.
Both manuals cover 9 and 10 inch models.
