Southbend 9"C Lathe

Based upon the apron it may be a 9B, which means it has power crossfeed and doesnt use the half nuts for longitudinal feed. It’s just a gearbox away from being a 9A.

I wonder if with the new paint a different apron was added? Either way, it's one step closer to being a 9a. I don't think the "c" models were likely to be found in schools or production, so should have less wear over all.

Once I cleaned the bed on this one, I could still faintly see the scraping marks full length of the bed. Eventually I plan to convert this into an "a".
