Doing some clean up. Anyone in the Calgary area who wants a 2" receiver step? Free for the asking, with the caveat you need to pick up in a few days. Otherwise it goes to scrap heap as I need to make room.

Speaking of tenderizing....I stuck a crowbar in my wallet and bought a meat slicer from PA. It's just their cheap $100 one and only 7 1/2 inches, but it sure has upped my beef jerky game. As you get older and dental crowns are so expensive, making softer jerky that is consistent in thickness is my new retirement priority. Sad, but true. And yummy.

I've got that same slicer from PA also. I make homemade salami logs and that allows me to slice it up nice and thin and even, for vacuum packing. I keep eying up the much nicer Princess Auto meat slicer that occasionally comes on sale but I can't justify it as long as this cheapy keeps working. I've been surprised it has lasted as long as it has. I replaced the blade on it once.

If it is available I’ll take ‘er. I was already planning a trip ! Pm to follow
