Sine Bar

My fist attempt at a 5 inch sine bar. It still has to be polished a little more, too bad I don't have a surface grinder.
I managed to get the distance between the rolls with in 2tenths. So plenty close for me.

I have a surface grinder.

IIRC, you are in Sudbury. If you are ever down the south end of our province, give me a shout.

Thanks very kind of you.
I may be in your area in Sept. The wife and I usually visit various winery's every fall. We switch between Erie shores, Niagara and Prince Edward County. This years it's Erie, so we stay in Leamington

Perfect! Leamington is only a half hour West of my farm.

I assume what you want is the flat top of the sine bar parallel to the plane of the center axis of the two pins. Assuming that they are parallel, it should be easy peasy.

Do you go to Pelee Island too?

We've never gone to to Pelee Island. From what I've read about it there's not much there to see. A few years ago we did pan to take the ferry there but there were high winds and the ferry was canceled, we never attempted again. The closest we got was Point Pelee Park. At the park I was amazed at the turbulence of the water at the tip of the park.
That area of Ontario is one of my favorite places, especially Amherstburg. Prince Edward County is another favorite.

That's too bad. I haven't been in a while, but there used to be fairly extensive winery showcase there. A Pavillion, a big cellar, exhibits, wine tasting, and great food. It was worth the trip. I used to do the fall pheasant hunt there too. That was really awesome! Then a plane crashed on the ice, and folks stopped going. The low attendance killed the quality of the hunt.

I lived in Amherstburg for 25 years. It's a beautiful place that is only getting better. One of my sons still lives there.

Kingsville is consistently rated as one of the top 10 best places to live in Canada. Leamington makes the list sometimes too - but the greenhouses are slowly taking over and ruining it.

I don't really mind the greenhouses as much as I mind the light pollution. I hate the eternal daylight in the local area and the eternal sunset for 100 miles around them.
