So I found a site of a Luthier (guy that makes and repairs guitars and similar stringed instruments) who has a huge number of assorted shop tips on his site. Some are instrument specific, some are wood specific, but there are a bunch that deal with general shop tips, SMALL shop tips (for those of us who happen to be spatially challenged ;)), tool making, metal lathes, and mills. He's even made a wood lathe style chisel rest for his metal lathe to use a scraping type cut with a turner's chisel on brass stock.

Some of the general tips have been repeated in a few places, but most things seem to be useful.
