Not an original concept. In fact I have a bag of IMP knobs for #8 & #10 socket head bolts but MET was not as prevalent. The deal is you press the plastic head on your choice length of a cap screw & voila, a knob. The kind of unique aspect is it has an integral hex boss which engages the SHCS wrench socket. I printed this for M4. The guestimate fits were pretty close but a bit too tight on the head. And BTW, heads vary in diameter & knurl by some degree depending on manufacturer. I was almost going to try heating the head like a threaded insert but you'd have to have it jigged so it goes straight in. Nobody likes a crooked knobby.
Or.... you can buy a bag of anodized aluminum or stainless thumbscrews pretty cheap off Ali. But where's the fun in that? And what if you wanted a specific diameter knob with custom knurl? CAD drawings available soon. Don't lowball me Man, I know what I have! LOL
