Not a machine tool, but the next best thing you can buy for your shop besides tools.

That's the mats I have Dan. I don't love them, but they have been good to my feet and back, so maybe I should.

I think the biggest problem with these ones is that they appear to be missing the ramp edges.

Ya, they're very comfy to walk on, even moreso when stacked. Some don't like the holes, but for me that's the best part. The majority of chips fall through and you're not walking on them, or tracking them all over. Just pull them up to sweep periodically.

I have smaller ones from PA, but if I was closer to these, I'd probably pickup a few more. to cut shape and stack around the machines better.

I have some of each. Without holes in front of my lathe, and with holes in front of my mill. I vastly prefer the ones with holes for the reason you state.

But I'd add another advantage too. The holes usually make finding a dropped Jesus screw a lot easier to find.

Wow, I would buy as many as I can to fill out the floor in my shop and garage. 40 bucks each at home depot right now.

Way too much trouble to fill out a floor. Imagine lifting them once a week to clean out under them.
