I should add that thanks to @BenoitL I now have a copy the the 1988 article that describes the 5c chuck I wanted to build before I built the drawbar version. It's well-described here: https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/diy-5-c-collet-chuck.8079/

And thanks to @YotaBota for the spill-proof oil pot. A darned sight more bulletproof than my mason jars with a hole though the cap.

Thanks for the meet-up Rob, maybe a annual thing?. Had to be home for 5 pm as there was apparently a hockey game on.
