I had a failed print. And then I damaged the hot end wiring pulling this ball of filament off. And damaged the extruder parts with the heat gun trying to get the ball off. I have a mk3 to mk3s upgrade I’ve been putting off installing. So I am working on fixing it up on this rainy day. I got a new hot end from spool3d here in town. Lots and lots of steps maybe 100 in the documentation. The instructions are very good with detailed pictures.

I’ve taken over the kitchen. My spouse though has the other half of the table for her art project.

What does the upgrade get you?
I upgraded my Ender 3 to the BTT board with silent drivers and switched to an all metal hot end and direct drive extruder from Microswiss.
Haven't noticed much difference with the hotend or direct drive but the main board upgrade to the silent drivers made a huge difference in noise and vibration.

Dogbiy if I just get my printer working again I’ll be happy. It seems faster in my testing so far.

It’s working! Some things that were slow are now quicker. Like the Z axis bed calibration. And the slicer software has more features.
