If you don’t log in for a while does the system shut down your membership?
Also there is no way to contact anyone without logging in? Can you see the catch 22 with that scenario?
I just had to register again with a new handle and email address.

My previous login handle was M. Moore.
Sorry for not frequenting the site as required.

Same here, registered 3yrs ago, couldn't login successfully until a couple of months ago.
It kept telling me my email address was already taken by another member, but I was that member.
Couldn't contact the administrator until I logged in ... frustrating.
Perseverance won the day.

Let me see if I can fix this in the admin side of things.

Admins - Can a contact email be given on the site that doesn't require a login?
Yup, the Contact us link at the bottom of every page.

If you're not logged in that link takes you to the login page and says "you must be logged in to do this".

Note to EVERYONE. This problem has been doped out. It is related to our on-going E-mail challenges. If you set your preferences to turn on 2 factor authorization, you will probably get locked out. When you login, the system will try to send you an authorization code by email. Since system email is not reliable, you will not get the code and therefore you will not be able to login.

For now, we do not recommend using 2 factor authorization. Please use a very strong password instead.

I also recommend that everyone have a forum member buddy and exchange Email or Txt contact info with each other. That way you can ask your buddy to contact a moderator if you ever have problems logging in.

I think I need a younger member buddy... or multiple buddies preferably
