Selling a van on Kijiji rather than Marketplace to support Canadian and avoid the FB Marketplace BS.
Within 5 seconds of the ad going live get a text from Seattle. A minute later from Quebec and then one from Toronto. All eventually directing me to a scam carfax type website for a vehicle report. All willing to send a deposit after getting the report. Sigh. At this rate I'll park it at the local bar with a For Sale sign taped to the windshield.

Up the insurance and just leave it at the bar.....

I didn't just say that did I?

I miss Craigslist (it's pretty much dead here in Ontario).

Also American, not a fan.

As seller I think its a mess. When you renew an ad an it creates a new version and leaves the old one there (not visible on the list, but in your list of ads). If you've got a bunch to sell, it short order it becomes a confusing mess.

Kijiji is also I think falling. seems like every change they makes detracts and then FB comes along. Most recent was discontinuing the RSS feed. Had me on the site many times a day, now its every few days, if I remember.

There is also used[your city name].com, not to mention VarageSale.com I find that all tend to have regional usage as well as "best for particular item type". VarageSale for example, seems to be mostly household stuff, and like it or not FB Marketplace seems to have the widest audience and is more likely to have tool listings - at least in my experience. I haven't even looked at eBay for years now. By far the widest market and audience but rarely worth the hassle for shipping & scams unless you are seeking something very specific.

Please don't lump (or hump) all Americans together - (I'm sure no one here does!) You should know that a majority voted against the [insert vulgar euphemism here] implementing the current [insert another vulgar euphemism here] policies, and many of those who did vote for him were deceived/misinformed etc and now regret it.

Your leg is safe with me.
