Hello, from another Salmon Armen, Armite, Armian ? … guy from Salmon Arm.

My gear is stone age compared to your Haas TL-1. As the Brits say, “nice bit of kit”. Serious hardware.

I’m relatively new to the area, and I am amazed at the depth of local knowledge and skill w.r.t. machining, mill work and automation. There are some serious players here.

Welcome from Winnipeg!!!

Salmon Arm is such an unusual name, I couldn’t imagine that there’s much meat on one, so I asked Mr Google:
Etymology. Salmon Arm takes its name from its place along Shuswap Lake. The lake has four "arms": Shuswap Arm in the west, Seymour Arm in the north, Anstey Arm in the northeast, and Salmon Arm in the south, named after the large runs of salmon that used to run up the creeks that empty into the lake.

I learned something today! (other than I still don’t like vacuuming)
