This video shows thinking outside the box, yes I it may in Russian but they are inventive in solving problems with available tooling (something that we should constantly be reminded of).

So enjoy the "wow, I wish I thought if that factor".

It is an amazing process to watch. I have never seen this method used on a manual lathe. I have only seen it used on cam driven automatic lathes (screw machines). Milling threads behind a shoulder is especially mouth dropping.
