Seems like good deal 500$ for lot
Somebody has to be in spitting range of Vaugn north of Toronto to pull this off. It's easy worth the 500 and I'm in line for a few things to make your money back and more too. Hoping there are Reamers and pin gauges, and some tenths mitutoyo or Interapids too.If someone buys it to resell, I'm interested in those adjustable parallels.....
Well it wasn't within spitting distance from my place but as often happens you guys convinced me to part with my money. The traffic there and back was atrocious even on a Saturday! While it was no doubt a good deal, and it was a lot of fun digging through the stash I'm not sure that it met the more optimistic expectations. No pin gauges, no Interapids. Just a handful of reamers, some tenths Federals, some Starrett tools, a couple of nice small milling vises, a huge crap load of milling cutters, a lot of taps, and drill bits. The milling cutters, taps and drill bits are all good name brands made in USA like Butterfield and many were never used. I'll probably hang on to most of it since I didn't have much to begin with. Thanks to @justin1 for the heads up on this deal!Somebody has to be in spitting range of Vaugn north of Toronto to pull this off. Just a handful of reamers,
I have one of those, it’s for deburring the edges of metal sheet.
Holy cow! Grainger sells new ones for over $200 and thats not including taxes and shipping!That round thing is a bench block. Used to support a part when you have to drift a pin out of the part.
Yup. That is generally one of the first pieces of kit for gunsmiths. Of course when I started I couldn't afford one, so I made one out of teflon.
I think I saw one of these in a KBC catalogue once. Any one have any idea what its used for?
a couple of mitutoyo calipers with some of the dreaded disintegrating foam removed;
a box of small Norton abrasive stones almost unused. I didn't know machinists used stuff like this. What do they do with these?
