Been for sale for a while now. Looks like it's it decent shape, and not an ex clown college machine. Be like Brent and have an inch and metric lathe side by side.

and not an ex clown college machine.

I would not be so sure about that… there are 2 green ones (including the one for sale) and a grey one (as seen in the background) in his shop. Typically, only schools / colleges would have a need for multiples of the same.

Still, they do look ok from what can be seen in the pictures. Price is fair for what you get. VFD ready as well…

You might be right. I was basing my assumption more on the fact that it isn't painted 5 different contrasting colours....ie "clown college".

Being a Std Modern in metric, one could reasonably assume it was either originally purchased by a School board, or by the Gov. The lack of multi Colour, probably suggests Gov......

Could be. I don't follow auctions much, as it's easier on my bank account lol. I know there's a lot of auction hounds around here though, that could probably answer that better.

I believe it was maybe Conestoga that had the bunch of lathes. I cold be wrong. I remember wanting to bid but if I remember right there was no loading dock…
