  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

My father was a precision, machinist tool, and die maker from Denmark.

We are selling a variety of very high-quality machinery from a house in Burnaby.

We have milling machines, lathes, grinders, punch press, and many accessories, such as jaw chucks, and a lot of fine drill bits, Vernier calliper and other Vernier tools, Mitutoyo Tools. The list seems endless!

Please let me know if anyone would like photos, make/models etc.

Maybe a member in your area could help you generate the information you need to help you find new homes for all the equipment he had that kept him happy.

It’s unfortunately common for kids to wind up selling their parents home shops. I’ve helped some locals and participated in sales in these circumstances. In fact the first tool I bought was from an elderly model engineering club member’s sale. I still recall Bert M and his kindness to a little kid (me at the time) when I use his Record bench vise.

About your sale- pics definitely help. A detailed list as well. An organization such the BC Model Engineering club may have members who are interested in buying machines or tooling. And they are local to you.

The Rusnak vertical head is quite nice, but be aware the collets are an oddball- make sure you find all the ones that went with the machine as they are hard to find used.
