So I am in the middle of switching to Touch DRO for my mill and lathe.
The mill has a Bausch and Lomb Act-rite II Digital Position Readout head.
Only one of the axis works. And the read out is great in ABS, but the bottom segment is dim compared to the rest of the segments when in INC. A friend who is an aeronautics electrician/engineer (not sure of exact title) thinks it's in the power coming to the board, not the actual board. The good board works in both slots, and the bad board works in neither.
I'm wondering if there is someone here on the board that could make use of this, and what a fair price would be. I've seen untested boards on eBay for around $500. But I"m not that big of a jerk.
(come on - it's not even tested)
Would be a shame to recycle this. Could send working board/ and not working board, or the whole unit.
