Yes, I've got a few of the Pica brand ones in the marking drawer of my box at work. Don't use them every day, but when you need them...
 
I discovered these a while back, not sure if others are aware. I find these incredibly useful, for reaching through parts to mark holes etc.

Another similarly useful tool is a set of various diameter punches. You choose the right diameter to fit the hole and then punch at the bottom to mark the metal behind the hole.

 
Sus for sure transfer punches are a must. I have several different types of long reach pens. The Picard ones are nice but pricey. Like arbutus posted I usually grab the cheapest ones. I tend to leave them all over the place so cheaper the better for me. They work good and get the job done.
