King 7 X 12 mini Lathe

Hey Everyone, i bought a King 7 X 12 Lathe at KMS tools in Edmonton in November, Thing is since i purchased it I've had issues with the drive gear, that melted the belt that stripped itself and now the motor went.
What should i do ? Ask for a replacement Lathe or just keep ordering part's ?
I have maybe 30 hours on this Lathe and am getting frustrate. Please help make a decision.

Only 4 months old eh.... I'd ask for a replacement something's not right with it.

The distributor will likely claim abuse and say warranty is void BUT you need to push for replacement under warranty.

If you are lucky enough to have them replace some parts learn from the episode. I've looked at a ton of these lathes and never bought one because they just can't handle any real load. New users push them too hard because it takes a lifetime to machine a part within the abilities of these machines.

Replace as much under warranty as you can. Maybe you did get a Friday afternoon machine and once you replace all the parts that are going to break (under warranty hopefully), you’ll be fine.

bought it in November, 1 st thing to go was the drive pulley and it chewed up the belt, so i went to KMS and they replaced the parts from another Lathe they had in the store, Now with this motor issue, I'm going to bring the unit in as a whole as there are alot of stress cracks and get this, a big chunk of Bondo feel off of it.
I hope they just give me a new Lathe as this 1 has been nothing but problem's.
And for the member that said they will say it's abuse, you nailed that right, when i went in for the drive pulley thats what they said, thing is, i was turning Aluminum when it happened.
